THE CHEKHOV PROJECT
The Chekhov project consist of three different art portfolios produced in Paris, France 1991. The three famous Russians artists Igor Makarevich, illustrated The Seagull, Oleg Vassiliev illustrated The house with the Attic and Yuri Vaschenko illustrated The Cherry Orchard by the famous Russian Anton Pavlovich Chekhov 1860-1904. He was one of the greatest Russian writers of all time. Along with Henrik Ibsen and August Strindberg, Chekhov is often referred to as one of the three seminal figures in the birth of early modernism in the theatre.

The Seagull is a four-act play first stage performed in 1896. It is considered to be the first of his four major plays.

The House with the Attic is a short story by Anton Chekhov written in 1896.

The Cherry Orchard is the last play by Anton Chekhov written in 1903.

The Edition was printed, numbered, and signed in July 1991 in Paris, France.
The edition includes:
1 copy for the publisher numbered A/A and 20 copies numbered I/XX to XX/XX, all followed by a suite of 30 prints.
225 copies numbered 1/225 to 225/225.
20 artist’s proofs numbered EA. I/XX to EA. XX/XX, followed by a suite of 30 prints and
20 artist’s proofs of 30 separated prints numbered 1/20 to 20/20 specially printed for the artist.
The lithographs were printed at the Michael Woolworth Atelier, Paris, the silkscreen prints at the Marc Silverberg Atelier, Boissy-Saint-Léger.
The binding, designed by Heidi and Terje Nesbakken, was made at the Dermont Duval Atelier, Paris, and the typographic printing at the Mérat-Auger Atelier, Paris.
Vélin Lana Royal paper was used for the prints, Moulin du Gué paper for the prints of the suite, and Vélin d’Arches paper for the texts.
